Iron Dome is an air defense system developed by the Israeli firms Rafael Advanced Defense Systems and Israel Aerospace Industries, with financial and technical support from the United States. The system is originated after 2006 Israeli-Lebnon War, Asesend finally introduced in 2011. The system is highly advanced, mobile, And works in extreme conditions. Every Missile, Aircraft & Drone left for an attack on Israel can be destroyed in air. WORKING The system mainly work through radar and missile firing units. It automatically activated whenever an opponent strikes from the sky, a moving object who is threaten to a human life is tracked by radar system and locks its target on an air. Missile firing unit is then activated, fires an interceptor missile called as "Tamir" and destroys its target. COST & LIMITATIONS No missile defence system is perfectly reliable, Iron Dome System has also a saturation point. Officials said that the success rate of the Iron Dome System is reported to be 90%. Short-range rockets are also a threat because Iron Dome is less effective at ranges of 2.5 miles or less. System value is around $50 Milion Each interceptor costs around $80,000
